ALRIGHT THEN! So after a long stand-still while we collected members, *NOM-NOM will be holding its first contest of sorts, and it is as follows:

We need a mascot (or two)! An official nomming character to stand before this club and represent all that is nom. And who better to create such a thing than all of you wonderful little peanuts? So here are the guidelines:

-Nothing generic! Try to make something instantly recognizable, but dont make it impossibly extravagent. Try to remember that not everyone here is a super-artist.
-Your entry must be in the form of a character reference. The character must be shown in its entirety so that any markings or colors are visible. If for some reason this is not possible, please note these characteristics in the text. Clothes are not necessary as part of the design.
-Please include a name for your character and reference the club name in the title and/or description.
-Since this contest is based on a character design, all entries must be in color! Any medium is accepted as long as everything is visible.
-No humans, please. Try to lean more toward the animal kingdom, as humans are almost impossible to uniquely characterize (or draw, for many of us). Do feel free to go crazy with creature designs. Anthro and Feral are accepted but it will more than likely be integrated into both forms.

Send a note to the club with a link to your entry and if you have any questions, do feel free to ask. :3

Deadline: Feb 1, 2006. (extension possible if necessary)
Voting will begin on the 1st and end on the 7th.
Depending on the number of entries and votes, 1 or 2 will be selected.

Welcome to *NOM-NOM! A club completely dedicated to art involving the infamous and enigmatic Nom.

While the club is still in it's very early stages of construction, we are accepting members! Simply send a note expressing your wishes to join with "join" as the subject title and you will be added to the list. Upon doing so, please add the club to your friends/watch list and place the club icon somewhere in your journal if possible to spread the word. :3

For now, the club remains unsubscribed until I myself can find the money to change that.. However if anyone wishes to subscribe it you may of course feel free to do so. Just be sure to send a note telling me that you'd like to subscribe the club and I'll be sure to thank you with some kind of art/commission within my abilities. :3

Once there are enough members, we will hold a small contest for our icon and ID. For now, we have simple temporary ones to hold us over.
